Question about brake install on Carbon Fork
I just installed a carbon fiber fork (Forte 1" Pro) and new headset on my older Clark-Kent titanium road frame. I have a question about installing the front brake.
Should I use the jagged anti-rotation washer on the front brake against the carbon fiber fork? I have read that surface damage can weaken carbon forks and if I tighten this down the "teeth" on the washer will definitely bite into the carbon fiber. Is this significant, or should I not worry about it??
Thanks!!

I've never found those washers to do anything. Brakes tend to "self-center" and move a bit, so I don't see the need for a lock-type washer. Use Locktite instead-

locktite, should be some loctite on the brake bolt already. If it's installed correctly it won't slip or loosen since it doesn't spin in one direction only.

Thanks, I'll install without the gripper and see how it goes. I can always add it later if need be.
