Easton wheel replacement

A wicked pothole has spelled an eventual early death for the rim of my rear wheel, an Easton Orion II. Too bad, because I've only had the wheelset since August, IIRC. It's still rideable, but according to the LBS, it's not going to last and likely will eventually fail. The Easton folks tell me that if I send the hub to them in good condition (it is), they will send an entire new wheel for a reasonable cost (well below what it would cost to get a replacement on, say, eBay). I suppose that's not a good as the Mavic wheel warranty but I'm not complaining. The East-West costs turnaround will be a killer, though. :(

I had a Tempest II rear wheel rebuilt by Easton for $130. That was a new rim and spokes, same hub. Turn around was a bit lengthy but the bike shop had an Orion II that customers could use for test rides and they let me use it until my wheel came back.
