Need Look cleat memory piece

Sorry for my first post to be a plea for help, but I just got my first road bike today, and somehow seem to have lost the black plastic kinda triangle-shaped piece that sets the memory position of the Look cleat. Does anyone have one that they don't use or know where I can find a replacement? I emailed Look but haven't heard back yet. I realize I don't NEED it to mount the cleats but thought it would be convenient for replacement.

Thanks,
Mike

I took a pencil and outlined the cleat on the shoe.

Marking is good, but I've also had good luck with short pieces of masking tape since you can get them exactly flush with the edges of the old cleat.

You get stickers with new Keo cleats to stick around the old cleat before you remove it.

I have used marker, electrical tape, masking tape, as well as scratching the position into the sole using an ice pick.

You don't need to see his identification. These are not the droids you are looking for. Move along.

I like to use a gold "Outliner" style metallic-looking ink pen. Good for marking seatpost height and position too.

Silver Sharpie works for me since the bottom of my shoes are black.

Hm... I never really understood what that little thing was supposed to be for. So, I guess, you remove the little plastic piece and stick a sharpie in there to mark your sole?

Not quite; you're supposed to fit the cleats on without the oval rubber cover, and the memory cleat piece inside. As you adjust your cleat, the memory piece will move as well; once you're happy with the position, tighten the screw for the memory piece and you're done. Lift the cleat and add the oval rubber cover, re-place cleat and tighten.

With every new cleat you install, you will have to position it on top of the memory piece, and it kind of snaps in. That guarantees you the same cleat position every time.

@OP: I can send you one, if you PM me your address - it will probably take a while though.
