Quads Not Sore??

I finally had a professional fit about 2 weeks ago after 2 years of riding without one. I did 35 hard miles into a very strong headwind yesterday and a total of 210 miles this week. Thing is, my quads, glutes and hamstrings are not that sore. I guess I am surprised that it feels this way because I am used to my legs being on fire after riding 200+ miles of headwind riding.

I guess my questions are, is this how a great fit supposed to feel? Should my quads be working a lot more? (move seat forward a little) or STFU and enjoy the new fit?:D

I'm no expert but my guess it depends on your conditioning. I don't consider myself in great shape for my age but 30 miles doesn't wipe me out either.

Maybe you weren't going fast enough?

Enjoy it. You shouldn't be sore after a 35 mile ride, or at least not very sore. Now you can start increasing your distances more comfortably. :)

Your hamstrings used to be sore?

If it works, don't 'fix' it. Ask your fitter about what's going on with your muscle groups, and if you change anything, make sure you knew where it was before...

I don't care what your fit is. If you get off the bike and don't feel it in your quads, you could have gone harder.

That's not to say you need to go hard all the time....wait what am i saying.....of course you do! HTFU!

You shouldn't feel localized quad pain or deadness after riding...

That all depends upon how hard you ride.

Need to ride harder.

if you can stand/walk/go up stairs you have not worked hard enough, i enjoy riding my bike into the garage, and collapsing and crawling to the door like the worthless piece of crap i am
