Tire troubles
So I was riding along when all of a sudden BAM! blowout, great , so when i'm replacing a the inner tube there is no evidence of whatever caused the flat tire but part of the tire is all ripped up (pic below) does anyone know what in the world could do this?

faulty wire bead on the tyre? I've had a tyre that poked a hole through the tube over time because the wire was faulty.

I've had a jagged rim seam mess up a tire in a similar way.

It's kinda hard to see what the full extent of the damage is without pealing out the inner.
maybe it wasn't mounted properly and the bead fell off the rim causing the blow out?
looks toasted though.

I had the kevlar bead on a foldable tire delaminate from the tire wall once, it sounded like a shotgun went off behind me, that was a brand new tire too, just a defect, the dealer exchanged it.

More likely, pinched tube leading to a blowout. The damage there looks cosmetic but since we can't inspect it for ourselves, the OP will have to do it himself. Espeically when you factor in that the tire was "brand new" and "first ride".
