Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Is there a list available of what fully built bikes are spec'd with SRAM Rival?

Thanks.

That's the only one they've got for '08; they do have two others with Force and Red, though.

If you are looking, run over to Competitive Cyclist and buy the Ridley/Rival deal. It is a seriously great deal and if I hadn't just bought a bike, I would be buying this one.

I understand that, but Force seems to serve no discernible purpose now.. There is no mechanical difference between the groups, and if you are a Weight Weenie you're going to buy Red. Force seems superfluous.

There was never a mechanical difference between Force and Rival. Force still looks nicer than Rival, is still lighter, and costs much less than Red. At least for a while, Force is here to stay. I suppose if in the future the sales declined they could decide to axe it, but the rep said that Rival and Force were being updated for the time being.

Force vs rival serves the same purpose as Ultegra vs 105. At least, I think that's the intent. More expensive and lighter, but functionally basically the same.

Novara Squadra? https://www.rei.com/product/763768

I'm not a road biker, but I checked one out tonight when I was wandering through REI. The SRAM hoods are more comfy than my Tiagras. Oh, one day, they will be mine......
