Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

gum sti hoods

I just bought some white hudz, but what I really want are gum hoods for my ultegra sti shifters. I have leather bar tape and the gum would look soooo nice with it, Does anybody make them? Also, has anyone ever tried any sort of paint or other coloring method with rubber hoods?

Yeah I just saw that, i emailed hudz requesting that color and received a reply that they are finishing a limited run this week or next and they should be available soon. Now the problem is where to actually buy them.

QBP via harriscyclery.com. $34.95. These are the coolest things I've seen in a while. Do you think the campy's would fit Cane Creek levers?

Cane Creek already makes gum hoods for their brake levers. I used to have some on my Soma.

Actually, the ultgra ones are already available you can get them from bikesonline.com They have every color. From what I can tell may 20th is the release date for the bordeaux gold hudz as well as celeste, orange, and one other color I think

Did you actually try ordering them. Lance on WW still says a couple of weeks away, which would put the Ultegra/105 in May like I said. QBP still shows them backordered.

Only ones currently available are Campy and Dura-Ace.

I did order some in white from bikesonline. I ended up canceling my order however when I found out that the bordeaux gold would be coming out soon so I never actually got them. They very specifically said ultegra on the website though, and my order was ready to ship when i canceled it, so I am assuming they actually have them.
