Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New Kinesis build - pics

So as some may know, I was recently moved to the south of France for work reasons for 6 months. I really couldn't bear to pack the black RC up as it means far too much to me to let it get crushed by the cretins at Heathrow, so I bought a new RC2 from Kinesis and put some stuff on it that I had lying round (all spare Ultegra stuff from the black RC). I also switched the Mavics over and got relatively cheap ITM kit for post, stem and bars. Shipped it over in component parts and built it up over here which seemed to work pretty well.

I really like the white pearl colour and thought I'd share the build with you guys - something for a Friday afternoon!

It rides like a dream, and whilst not as light as the black RC due to the ITM stuff being rather weighty, it tips the scales at around 18.5lbs which I think is ok.

RC2 and I are heading up the Col du Tourmalet tomorrow so I'll hopefully post some pics on here after that too.

Thanks guys and happy Bank Holiday weekend for those to whom it applies.

It's not code, you just create a new thread and "manage attachments". Pick each file you want to upload individually. 100kb limit on each file.

Click here for their website. I really like their stuff (not hard to tell that from my sig) just because it's a bit different and you can build it up however you want.
