custom fit/built frameset....

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

custom fit/built frameset....

what measurements are different compared to an off the shelf frame?

In other words, why buy a custom size frame, what's different?

As far as I'm aware, it's all about your measurements... like if you're exceptionally tall, or if you have really long legs coupled with a short torso and short arms (short reach). Things like that can be reason for a custom frame, although IMO just about anyone can find a frame out there that'll work for them off the shelf if they look hard enough.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and for cosmetic purposes too, like paint.
