My homemade camera mount
My lovely wife bought me a Digital Elph for my b-day awhile back and it has a cool stop-action video function and it got me thinking I needed a camera mount. I scoured google and bikeforums and came up with the following after seeing others creativity. After a trip to ACE hardward and about 5 bucks, here you go. I have only tested it up the street and back so far. I'll post a vid after a ride on Wednesday.

It consists of a clamp, a 1/4 x 2 inch bolt, a couple of washers, 2 wing-nuts and a rubber gromet type deal I'm hoping will help with vibration. Thanks for looking

I love it! I've got an elph, too. I think I'm going to have to do that...

Thanks. Very easy and quick to do. It was a little hard at first what to use as a clamp since I have flat bars, but the handy dandy ACE guy led me to the gold mine. ha ha. The stop action is cool on the elph. Have you messed with it at all? I set it up while the family was eatting the other night and it was hilarious.

I'd be nervous clamping that on carbon.... it'll also void the warranty of the handlebars right? Otherwise, great use of $5!!!!!

You can mount the bike lower (closer to axle is better). You can mount it on your body. Head is most stable (your head is the gyro-steady mount). Chest (shows bars, front wheel, and a bit of direction if you point it right).
Stop action sounds appealing though. Did you post the vid anywhere?

Thanks for the hints/tips guys. I have yet to do a vid so I'll post it up when I'm done. I did make one in the car on the way to work this morning. Came out pretty good.
