Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Check out the Republic of Anaerobia website: https://www.anaerobia.com/

It's on my wishlist, along with an ONCE jersey.

There should be an addiction called jerseyitis...I like some kit gear... Like my Bonjour jersey.. Would also like to have the Once jersey gear also.
One of my favorite jerseys this season is my new Voler jersey.."Bike to Work" with a car inside a circle with the diagonal line meaning to stomp out cars.
For Christmas been ogling at the University of Michigan jersey/sock combination shown in Nashbar catalogue..

That is one fine looking jersey. I've been thinking of getting one for a while, myself. What I'd really like, though, is an Iowa jersey. Black and yellow with the coolest logo ever. Too bad I can't find one anywhere. Anybody here have some pull with U of Iowa and can get them to make or authorize the making of a jersey?

How about the US domestic team Jelly Belly, I like their jersey and bib shorts combo, I saw them in the latest world cycling productions cateloge, but they are still selling each item for 100 buck, kind of expensive, but I guess it has something to do with the 7 color dye sublimation process, exte ondo had to use...Maybe they'll go on sale when the new ones come out..

caadman,

Check out www.bicyclinghub.com they have jellybelly
jersey and shorts on sale (less that $100). They are an
Etxe-Ondo distributor so they have good selection.
Top of my wish list is a Cinzano wool jersey, maybe
a trainer (wool).
I have a CSC jersey, its my only team kit, but then I work for them

I believe it is "I came, I saw, I vomited" a takeoff of the old "Veni, Vidi, Vici" I came, I saw, I conquered...

I came, I saw, I vomited (a parody of a statement attributed to Julius Caesar: Veni, Vidi, Vici, I came, I saw, I counquered).

Holy crap, I've actually found it. I've already tried looking through the University page, but they didn't have a link to the cycling page anywhere on their athletics page. Fortunately, I managed to google for their cycling page. If anyone else thinks Hawks rule, check it out: https://www.uiowa.edu/~cycling/jerseyvote.htm

They have links towards the bottom for the jersey/shorts designs.

Cool jerseys or other frivilious bike gifts.

Anyone get the Velo Gear catalogue for Christmas gifts.
The jerseys are pretty cool..The red poka dot Quick Step jersey would be on the list.Along with Univ. of Mich...Would like have the Molteni winter jersey.. Another jersey I saw I really liked was on the cover of Bicycling mag a couple months ago..The "Assos" team jersey looks really cool...!Would like to have that...
But for a frivilious christmas gift to whomever... Sick people are supposedly interested in 'Bobblehead' doll like figures..Velo is selling a Fausto Coppi 'Bobblehead.' Anyone interested.? Give that to your favorite cyclists for his/her reaction...I would like to know how that goes...
Gift I could not say no to...No jerseys, but a yellow bike polo shirt and a Cyclists tie , red and black with road bikes on it.. This is my source for Christmas cards celebrating bikes...that I hope to receive in time for Christmas...
I was able to say no to another jersey..For Christmas my main gift from my wife will be "Time " road shoes...If only I could sell her on bike gifts for her hybrid..
Guess have to give in and buy her clothes for work...dam.

Wow. My wife is an Iowa grad, and more of a biker than I am (at least until very recently). I might have to get that Hawkeye jersey for her.

It looks like these may not deliver until February, though, if I read their info on the website correctly. Anyone have better/different information??

That's right. Send her to work to earn money so you can buy more bike stuff. Great idea.

Yeah, the February delivery is right. Basically, they work like my collegiate and any other collegiate team as far as uniforms: we don't have a huge budget, so can't just buy a ton of stuff, then keep it on hand in case somebody wants it. Instead, we set up custom printing with a dealer, then everyone on the team says what they want. Then we open it up to anyone else who wants anything. We set a time limit for when they can place an order, then order everything at once. The dealer prints everything, then ships it off. A couple months ins a reasonable turnaround time. No returns/refunds since we can't return stuff to the dealer since it's already printed.

Ahh the joys of being involved in a sport that's not popular enough to be varsity and command a huge budget.
