Fetish Cycles

What says you, roadies? They're pretty small, so I can't find a lot of feedback. A wrench at my LBS rides a FC SS MTB, but that's about it. I'm specifically looking at the Dirigente and Black Soul frames for a custom build (Campy, of course!).

How's the longevity of them compared with the more mainstream brands? I can't find any crash replacement policy either. In addition to FC's, I'm also looking at the Tarmac SL frameset and Orbea Arin.

I was recently doing some research on their frames since there are some cheap SRAM Force and Campy Record equipped carbon bike deals on eBay. Came across a thread on roadbikereview I believe, but I can't seem to find it right now, that had discussion from a couple of owners of their carbon bikes. At first they both seemed thrilled, however within a couple of months the joints on their frames started to separate. FC evidently refused to help them out, and they both dumped the frames. Of course those could be isolated incidents. There are other threads from owners of their alloy frames are happy with them.

One of the guys on Gimbels has the track frame. Says he likes it fine.

My mountain bike has a fetish frame and it is still going strong after me pounding on it for the past 3+ years. The build quality on my aluminum frame is pretty decent, a bit on the heavy side, but i've thrown a lot at it since then and it has zero problems. Can't say anything about any of the road frames.

During a sprint on my regular group saw the worst crash ever when a rider on Fetish bike came apart. One sec he's in the middle of the sprint and the next the front end of his bike came apart and he took out two other riders. I don't know if it was the head tube, fork or steering tube but I wouldn't buy one after witnessing that. When he went to Fetish they acted like there was no way it could have been an issue with their bike.

Well, that's a turn off.

I also like the Arin. Perhaps I'll look look more into that.

I looked into their bikes a few months back and could not find any positive feedback about them that was recent.

You might want to consider Leader frames over Fetish cycles.
then again you can just go to nashbar and get the road frame.
