Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey,

I'm about to call a guy on his 2007 Allez Triple. It's red, like I want. However it's just a triple meaning sora components and a few comp. with tiagra. now he's asking 600, but I was gonna low-ball with 500. Does that sound like a bargain?

What would it cost for me to upgrade to 105 all at once?

$500 would be the most I would pay simply because it has the Sora components and it is used. Also, are you sure this bike will fit you? Have you ridden it?

As for an upgrade to 105:
It would be cheaper to buy a new bike with 105 then to buy a used bike for $500 and then upgrade to 105.
Edit: If not cheaper, it would be close enough to make buying the used bike a silly choice.
