Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Having never purchased road wheels other than what came on the bike, I was in Performance today and held a set of Forte Titans. Have heard some good reviews on them for an entry-level wheel. Lighter than I've felt before (for the price), and only 16 spokes on the front. Hard to believe that wheelset can withstand my 205 pound frame. Guy at the shop said it would, but would need close attention to the true.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Kinesis - the stiffness and handling is just superb and I think they look good too. Plus, they're a bit different - I like that too!

So Fulcrum or Gipiemme. I would still go with the Fulcrum. Are you being offered them for the same price?

its an Ideal, a greek company, but they are made by kinesis, same geometry, when i stripped the paint to respray it, its identical. I bought a carbon frame from ebay U.S but ended in a 2 months shipping back, waiting phoning to california etc etc, very frustrating mate.....
