Noob asking about rollers

I was looking at some photos and... :twitchy: nothing holds the bike? You just ride on the rollers and you don't fall? Or I'm just looking at the cheap ones?

lol.... your eyes don't deceive you. You stay upright via rolling angular momentum, same force that is acting upon you during open road cycling to keep you balance. The rollers merely act as a platform from which you can spin without going forward.

Although i've never used on, from all accounts, they require fair attention to detail and concentration to keep you upright, however, they are supposedly very good for technical work (not so much for strength training)

It's a little tricky, getting used to balancing on rollers, but you can learn pretty quickly. A good aid is to put them in a doorway so that you have the safety net of the sides of the door opening to use as "training wheels" until you learn to master them. They feel weird at first because both your front and rear wheels tend to wander in opposite directions as you ride. They are fun though!
