Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Note: I bet this photo was taken early in the race. I have pics later after like lap 6 and they were all down.

Damn. He looks strong. I wish him the best. I'd love to see SSC and TD make a run.

You can tell by the cadence and the ground he's covering he's in the big ring.

Will he go to the Le Tour this year?

If not, that sucks for him. I wanted to see him in the Tour.

Lance won the worlds and his team, from my guessing, "honored" his accomplishment by putting rainbow colors on the end of the jersey short sleeves.

I didn't think that was legal for anyone except previous word champions.

And if the street in those photos is a 6% grade, I'll eat my bibs. Look at the buildings on the side of the road! WAY steeper than 6%.
