Get on the saddle and kick some pedal

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Get on the saddle and kick some pedal

Cold outside ? windy ?
Get on your bike and start riding !!
15 mph, fine, just to get to the beginning of the climb,
ok, you rode 15 miles so far,1 hour exactly, and you're exhausted,
this wind is worse than any uphill, and you have'nt even started to climb yet.Should you stop ? no , start to climb and see what happens.
10,20,30,50 minutes, gaining 1900ft.nice.heartbeat-180 bpm.Youre not going to die.And now, 2.5 miles of downhill, losing 700ft.You hate it.The wind is getting into every part of your body.Your nose is frozen.Your ears are numb.Funny tickles down your toes.
Uphill again.10,20,40 minutes, another 1400ft and yuppie yeah !!!
Youre at the top of the hill !!!
Look, the sky is becoming clear, all that awful gray is fading away.
You look down the valley, you can hardly see where you were 2 hours ago.... the scenery- awesome.Over the horizon a small ball of fire....the sun !!!Mercifully touching you with gentle warm rays,
defrosting your face,your nose,your ears...mmmm....sweet.You love it !!!

A biker, that's who you are....
A biker ,that's what you are !!!

I got Lance Armstrong's first book, "Its Not About The Bike," for Christmas. I am to the part where he has matured into a world-class cyclist, and discovered he had concer. In writing about completing his first Tour de France, he said riding isn't about pleasure, its about pain.

Sounds like you agree
