I rode 60 miles on my new Giant. Careful!!! pRon.
My new bike is everything i could ask for. Light, quick, aerodynamic, etc.
For all those recent posts concerning avg speed, cadence...
I don't know about you guys but i averaged a relaxed 22-23 mph today. Kept a good strong 90-100 cadence and topped out at around 31 mph on flat, and 47.7 on a hill. I know my new bike has no power hub, but i would guess it was somewhere around 300 to 350 avg. This should be a bit above the norm, considering my exceptional fitness.
I would also like to point out the wide tires for extra grip. The single speed takes away the hassle of having to change gears, which saves valuable seconds. The extra comfy seat. No more numbness!
I feel like i am leaving out so much. This is an amazing bike. I think i will hit the trainer tomorrow since rain is in the forecast.
Enjoy the pron.
I really wanted to get a riding shot. If you have any suggestions on my form, please let me know!

With a set of clip on aero bars, you could probably hit 40-45 on the flats.
Definitely worth your consideration.

Such a marvel of modern aerodynamics!
Bucking conventional wisdom, this is clearly a product of super-human intelligence. Have you considered nubby tires? The channel pattern maximizes airflow...imagine a hovercraft riding on a cushion of air.
Aside from that major tweak, might I suggest a less angular helmet and more loosely-fitting clothing?

The one upgrade that would genuinely improve your speed would be to hack through the pile on those carpet legs, worry about the bike at a later date!
At first I thought your camera was selectively out of focus....

cool looking classic bike. Larger framing. I'd think it would be heavier. Aluminium frame? Looks like your other bike is a Trek. You might have had issues with numbness on your old bike? You use both bikes? Forget the trolls, its a cool bike.

I'm entertained.
It's a fun looking bike.
Try putting a basket on the front with a few baguettes and a wheel of brie. It'll break up the laminar airflow.
And you need board shorts. You'll never go back to bibs once you've tried board shorts and flip flops.
