Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you didn't see this coming from the fixed gear scene, then that's your own fault.

Hoo boy.

So I wonder how difficult it was to pull that off with vertical dropouts.

They're horizontal dropouts, it's BMC's track frame.

On the positive side, at least it's a fast fixed...

Let's just hope that this guy is not from the "hip" scene. I actually don't mind riding with people on single-speeds ("fixies").

So they are. For whatever reason, at first glance it looked like vertical. Maybe it was the grainy pic with the look angle.

I know the guy in the photo. Rest assured that bike gets ridden on a velodrome (as well as the street, obviously).

And that guy's money comes more from being the former guitarist for Joan Jett and the Blackhearts than from his parents.

Shouldn't the green tire be on the front and the red on the back?
