Bontrager Inform RL saddle
Anyone have one or tried one? Can you tell me if you would recommend this saddle.

Saddles are extremely personal. No one else can give you input about what will sork for you.
That said, as a generalization, Bontrager "house" saddles are cheap pieces of crap. Find a quality saddle that works well for you. People seem to like: Fizik Selle Italia Selle San Marco Specialized etc... Hippies seem to like: Brooks |

The Bontrager Inform series of saddles have stepped up the quality a bit. They aren't the best looking saddles ever but I would say they are are great quality and comfy.
|
Yeah, the inform saddles aren't the same as previous generation. I'd have to try one. They look and feel different, but I haven't ridden one.
|
Are they even the "house" saddle? My Madone came with a Bonty Race saddle, a cheaper version, not even an inform.

Levi wants you to try one... Seriously though, the Inform looks better than the 'house' saddles and looks like it supports the sit bones pretty well. I'm a believer in sit bone support as my current saddle (E3 Form) does this. I might check out the Bonty though because they offer various sizes. |
I switched from the Arione to the Inform and will never go back. The first time I used the Inform was on a Century ride this past April, and it was the most pleasant Century (butt-wise) that I have ever ridden. For me, the fit is great and some issues I was having in the perineum no longer exist. Last week I bought a second Inform for my commuter bike, replacing a stock Bontrager. Be sure to be fitted if you decide to try one.

I love mine. It's so much more comfortable than anything else I've tried. And I totally agree that the stock Bonty saddles suck.
