Pcad is calling Euro OUT.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have always enjoyed this clip. Somehow the song is even more fitting on.
The court of public opinion, the "wiki defense" as it was called for the last two years or so (hard to believe that) has always been at Trust But Verify. As far as his site, I have no idea. But, what's the point, since TBV info (that's where the power point was originally posted, for example) was the basis of a lot of his defense. Their facts have always been out there for anyone to look at.

The bigger issue for me is, the lab should be foolproof. If he tests positive, there should be no question in anyone's mind. Those involved, those who really understand this have loads of doubt and questions. Most of the lawyers that posted on sites where there was informed discussion stated that, in court, this did not come close to meeting the "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard. Tried in a court, he's riding now.

The whole episode leaves me shaking my head.

This is interesting information on the latest ruling. Underneath the grey box on the left side of the page.

Essentially, the CAS process had to take place before they could use the court system. Whether or not Landis chooses to go this route??? I guess that depends on how much money is in the checking account these days.

Bottom line, nothing changes until the riders get a union and negotiate a collective bargaining agreement...but the problem with pro cycling is, with whom does one negotiate? UCI? They obviously do not control all the races, like the big one starting this weekend. ASO? They only control a piece of the pie. It's not like MLB players negotiating with MLB. Or the NBA, or the NFL, or the NHL.

Floyd could end up being cycling's version of Curt Flood.

Can a gauntlet be picked up six months after it was dropped?

Gay is not necessarily a pejorative, as can be seen in many Jimmy Stewart and Cary Grant movies. Euro will have to elaborate.

And yes, I believe the gauntlet is still down and the gloves indeed may come off. My cash goes down on patentcad as he has been continuously sparring with the best; Euro took that two year suspension for test-addled posting; it's hard to know if he will have the verbal acceleration to keep pace in the high mountains of bikeforums ad-hominem.

long story short, epic:
