Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'd suggest you get some detailed pics and repost in the classic vintage forum. My brother has an early 80's Shogun with Tange Prestige tubing and Shimano Exage group set. In those days it was considered an entry level racing bike. IT's actually still a really nice ride. I'd easily pay $75 for one but they very well may have made some real cheap stuff to, hence the pics and the C&V forum.

They were a decent brand during the 1980s. Some good bikes and some mediocre ones. Don't buy an old low-end bike that needs a lot of work, since all the replacement parts and labor will cost you more than a new entry-level bike, and the new bike will probably be better.
