What Would Be a Good Frame For Dura-Ace 7400?
Well, I finally have a whole Dura-Ace 7400 groupset with the 7403 dual-pivot brakes (woot). All the pieces are in great shape and I'm dying to either build a bike with them, or SELL THEM OFF to finance another bike.
As far as my preferences go, a Yamaguchi with triple-triangle and straight fork seems like the way to go here. A nice straight, non-manipulated tubeset would look good I think, which means I probably have to go steel (custom?) unless I can find someone who can make aluminum(who even does aluminum custom?) look like Cannondale built it (smooth welds...mmm). I don't think the bike would look that great with a CAAD 9 frame, but a Cervelo Soloist may look interesting with DA 7400. I really wish I had a program that could build up bikes to see what they'd look like!
Any thoughts?
P.S. If I got a different bike and sold these parts off, I most likely would get a Cannondale System-Six 4; the red one with SRAM Rival. This would obviously be a much more expensive venture, but I think I could pull it off (parents loan money, I pay them back over the next few months). I could also sell the parts, get a Soloist frame and nab an inexpensive Rival groupset off Ebay to put on it (I've been watching, sometimes you can get an 8 piece groupset for 650'ish, just have to keep your eyes open. Will be even cheaper once the new Rival comes out).
And yes this would be my first roadbike. And yes I am fully aware I'm going way over my head with this, it's just what I do. And yes I'm the most indecisive person in the world. The second I pull the trigger, I usually regret it (killing someone is not as easy as it sounds). I believe I've been mulling this over in my head for about a year, if not longer.
Flame away.

Sorry for the double post; for some reason when I press EDIT my browser crashes...
Anyway, a local shop has a Giant TCR A0 (the orange one with Rival) for $1,800, that has Aksium Race wheels (same as System-Six 4). I forgot to mention the System-Six 4 would be about $2,600 with tax (goddamn Cook County [Chicago} tax; 10.25% my ass!). I'm not sure how these bikes compare. I personally believe the Cannondale is probably the better bike, but $800 better? I plan on racing next season (personal goal) and the Cannondale is probably better suited for it, but like I said, $800 more suited?
