Why Doesn't PBK Have Any Look KEO Pedals?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Why Doesn't PBK Have Any Look KEO Pedals?

Does anyone know why they would be out? I did the e-mail notification, but ready to buy NOW.
I am interested in the KEO Classic for my Flatbar bike, but would go for the Sprint, but PBK doesn't have either. Wonder why?
Don't want to spring for the Carbon. Flatbar is not for bling.
Also, the KEO Elle are a good deal. I am man enough to use the powder blue logo'd pedals, but wonder if the tension would be OK for me at 200#? They go 8-12, whatever that means. What do you think?
Any help would be appreciated.
Really want to do PBK because of the prices.
Thanks.

Pick the phone and call them, this way you can now when the pedals are expected.

E-mail them directly in regards about the item. They will get back to you within a day or two with fairly accurate information... For example, here's the cut&paste e-mail between myself and PBK not too long ago:

---------------------

Sorry it won't be until Nalini sell their lines out just before the tour !!!
We're looking early June !!!

Okay, let's break this down. You are dying to buy these pedals because of the extraordinary pricing of PBK, right? So, now PBK is not the little gem they were last year and everyone in the US is ordering from them.

Why on earth would they be out of pedals that are $15-20 less than competitors with an additional -15% and free shipping that generally arrives faster than US shipments?

Hmmm......not sure. Probably the same reason I had to wait a month for Vittoria CX tubulars.

Just be patient. I had to wait for them to get blue PR2s back in stock, and I'm still alive to tell about it.

Not interested in paying overseas, long-distance charges for a phone call. They don't use an 800#.
GREAT suggestion, though.

Ribble Cycles have them in stock (Black & Grey) for US$68.46 (+ postage) or Chain Reaction also have them in stock slightly cheaper at US$59.35 (+ postage).

No, it's a lot more fun to wait weeks and weeks for them to save a couple bucks. That doesn't count the time wasted out here telling the world of your tale of woe.

Some folks time's not worth much, I suppose.

That's the amount of entry/release tension in the pedal. Classics are recreational/touring pedals, and also designed for people that are new to the clipless world. They cannot be tightened too much, to the point where a novice rider might not feel like they can get out when they need to. Conversely, the better pedals have tension levels of 10-18. If you are riding hard, you will be virtually unable to pull your foot out of the pedals in a sprint, things like that. You can in the Classics.
The Sprints go to 9-15 in tension.

It's not just price.

Seriously? It really is a quite silly question. A store known for excellent service and prices runs an even better sale and you are amiss as to why they are out of the product.

I was wondering if anyone would get it. I actually understand the OP not wanting to call international if he doesn't have a plan that covers it. I pay a few bucks per month for an international plan and I can call for pennies. Without that plan, it could be a $10 call.
