Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycling Neologisms

Do you find the English language inadequate to describe the heights and lows of your cycling experience? What did you come up with instead?

An example to get us started:

Post-peloton: adj. innovative, new, creative

Example: Jean's decision to forego carbon fiber water bottle carriers was so post-peloton; leather sangria bags are sure to become the coolest way to carry your water.

post-peloton

when I read this new term, the first thing I thought was a rider who is too slow to keep up with the group.
