Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What are they?

Also, I do realize that I have asked 100 brake questions on this forum. My apologies. I just want to upgrade to the best, and was wondering what the best was.

I read online that Paul's Neo Retro Calipers were great. True?

This would probably better be asked in the cyclocross or touring forum where those brakes are most popular there. I had Paul Neo Retro on a bike and they didn't fit well. The hanger has to be 3" above the tire to work correctly and I didn't have enough space on my 54cm frame. Plus they really stick out wide from the wheels. Tektro Oryx work pretty well IMO and they're cheap.

That's easy...

Spooky carbon's, Paul Neo-retros (or Paul touring Canti's), Empella frog legs or TRP Euros.
