Colnagos at Sears?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

More likely that they never stock one. You'll just have to special order yours.

$4500 for a cruiser ......... There must be a practical joker hacking the Sears site ...... What else could it be ??

(Why does the thread title says Colnago) ?

actuallly I read that thing couple of weeks ago, it is acually a project between Ferrari SPA, and Colnago, no jokes, they are making bikes together. You can buy it on some european bike sites.

But to find it on Sears....greatly diminishes the attractiveness of the Ferrari bike.

Suddenly the allure of buying a Colnago went right out the window.

Yeah I picked one up when I went in for a riding lawnmower. My wife was pretty pissed and now the grass is too long.

Sears and KMart have merged right? Does that mean we'll be seeing Colnagos at KMart soon too?

I don't have a problem with the bike or the price (to each his own), but how that thing ended up in Sears is baffling. Talk about not knowing your target market.

Hardly Sears first stab at "high end" cycling. Bought my 10 speed which was made in Austria from Sears in 1969 or 70.

But it does offer "...accurate performance..." I'm trying to apply that phrase to other human endeavors with some funny images forming in my head :-) .

Ferrari bicycles aren't really targeted at high-end cycling. You take top-tier components, throw a Colnago frame into the mix, and you have a pro-caliber bike, which is high-end. The thing is that when you add the cost of the Ferrari logo, you're in an uncommon niche. This is where the Colnago sales team says, "Just think, if we could get X% of all Ferrari owners to buy just one Colnago bicycle..."

Sears is hardly the place you'd want to target Ferrari owners. Seems like the dealership/service dept would make more sense.

Even this place in Radiator Spgs. would make more sense:
