$179 for Ultegra STI Shifters (www.chainlove.com)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Exactly. The emails are sporadic at best.

There are 2 sites; you download the Desktop Alert applications from both sites and they will run in your services section and pop-up an alert on every sale.

I didn't see any which is why I chose to post it here.

I figured those that weren't interested would simply move on as with any other thread topic that didn't interest them. It's very simple to do. Just use the mouse.

You freds and your doubles. One extra chainring isn't going to kill you, you could just use it as a spacer for the triple shifter.

I want 'em!!

the triple shifter works fine on a double chainring. There's an extra unused click, but it doesn't cause any problems at all.

They're triples... and I think they're discontinued. All of the major online sellers sold out of them at this price 2-3 months ago...

Yeah, I wonder if some folks don't know that. Or maybe shifters are an individual component that you have to be pretty die-hard to replace (compared to wheels for example) rather than just replacing the bike. I'm just curious as it seems like most of their stuff is up for about 90 minutes max, yet this is a good deal.

Yup - that's the setup I run on my Jamis. This would be a good way to jump-start into 10-speed if you are still running 9-speed, though: all you really need, at a bare minimum, is shifters and cassette.

Why not make a chainlove.com sticky where people could post when good deals come up? They've got one for Steep and Cheap and Whiskey Militia on the snowboarding forum I read. Seems to work pretty well.

those shifters have been reposted several times over the past two weeks, so if you missed them and still want a pair, just check back frequently.
