Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Newbie to the hobby. Advice and tips would help!

hey guys, i've been into this hobby for a few months now. About 2 months ago i purchased my 1st bike and really started riding. To make things clear, i got into this hobby to get back in shape and to really keep myself busy. First off, the bike that i went with is a Felt F-75. I bought it at my LBS for 1399.99. The reason why i chose an expensive bike for my first bike is b/c every hobby I've been into I've always started with the cheap stuff and ended up upgrading over time. I've been riding for a good 1 1/2 months and i feel much more in shape. So, if you guys don't mind..is there any tips or advice you guys can give me? any websites that i can purchase and any tips on maintaining my bike would be much appreciated. thanks in advance for any tips posted and thanks for your time.

It's not a hobby... it's a lifestyle.

Cool bike - congrats. Post photos or no one will believe you purchased it.

My tip: try to clean the bike after every ride.
