Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Custom Wheels

I have had this idea similar to what was done on one of Armstrong’s TT bikes. He had his disk wheel customized with symbols on it. The symbols represented various things in his life and when placed in a certain order it told a story if you knew what the symbols represented. I was wondering if anyone knows of a company who could do something similar? I have wanted to do something like this on a set of deep-rimmed wheels. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks!

I thought it was on his top tube and I'm sure any printing or graphics company could do it for you.

He has them on the frame and on the disk wheel. The wheel is very cool. I saw it in person last weekend at his bike shop in Austin. I like the concept a lot.

This guy is a regular at www.slowtwitch.com

I have seen several examples of his work, and it is all really good. If you ask about him on slowtwitch, you will get dozens of rave reviews.
