Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I feel like when anyones bike forum addiction gets to the point that they are posting pictures of your pump in a thread, its time to turn off the computer.

But then again here am I replying to it...

I have a simple Bell floor pump I got at Sports Authority. It has a) accurate pressure gauge and b) it inflates my tires to required pressure. So why would I ever get something more elaborate. My emergency pump is the tiny Topeak minipump ($25), aluminum, not carbon. They make both, and the only difference is 10g (literally) and $15. Topeak actually fits in my saddle wedgepack.

Topeak Joeblow Pro......$50 on sale, nice.

Really does not like Schrader valves that much though,
like my bikes have them.

There are two types of F Me Pumps. There are these:

Then there is this:

Because even though it works, if you're stuck on the road using it to pump up your tire, you spend much of the time saying 'F Me'. I use it as a last ditch backup to CO2. But like I said it does work.
