Winwood RT-10?
I've got an older C-dale frame with a 1" headtube sitting in my garage, and I've been wanting to make use of it. I saw the Winwood RT-10 fork for a really good price, but wanted to make sure it was worth a dern at all. It looks kinda skimpy as far as carbon forks go, and I weigh in at 195. This is going to be my crit bike, meant more for short and super fast instead of the long hauls.
Any input on this fork? It doesn't even seem to be on their website. Thanks |
Anyone? I can't be the only one who has ever heard of this fork...

Get the full carbon fork from performance.

^^^ I'll second that. Used one for a few years in a steel Univega. The Univega now lives at the in-laws in TX but the fork is here with me waiting for a new project. Great value.

Well, the price on the Winwood beats Performance's. The Kinesis is a nice fork, but gotta admit a new fork from a company like Winwood for cheaper is far more enticing than a Forte version.
I went ahead and ordered it, I just can't believe there's such little info on it. It seems like it's actually a newer style, and they have it offered in threaded versions as well...maybe they're trying to appeal to the fixie crowd? |

Link for price? If you wait for a 20% off coupon for performance, I'm guessing it'll be cheaper than the winwood. Kinesis is a manufacturer for a lot of people, it's just rebranded. The forte fork is probably a LOT lighter than the winwood one.
No link, I have a buddy who has "connections." He was able to score me a Winwood for $60. The Axis Pro looks nice, and I believe is the Kinesis 2. It IS lighter than the Winwood, at least from what I can research. Price was unbeatable for me. I just don't know a lick about it, and can't find anything on the 'net. |
