Holy atrophy batman!
Wow, after breaking my kneecap, the doc finally gave me the go ahead to start bending my knee. I can't believe how much my left quad has withered away in 3 weeks. My right quad measures 19.5 inches and my left is only 16.5 inches. It looks really weird right now because my left calf didn't diminish very much. It also looks weird because the knee is still swollen.

That muscle is very hard to get back. I had ACL surgery and a meniscus repair that caused me to be off my right leg for six weeks. That was in 2000, my leg, calf and quad is still visibly smaller although it is as strong as the left.

That sucks. You should get some steroids for it. (srsly)

Wow, sorry to hear of both the troubles posted hear. I broke my jaw about a year and a half ago, went from 180 to 150 in about 10 weeks, but that was an easy gain back. To loose an asymmetrical feature like that would be tough. I hope the recovery goes well, the only thing I can say from experience is stay positive!!

Between the atrophy making the muscle into jello, and the dead skin from having it wrapped, my broken arm was the grossest thing ever. Not to mention I couldn't bench press the BAR (no weights) for about 2 months afterwards
