Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

An Italian brand bike (don't care where it's actually molded) that nice deserves Campagnolo Record. At the very minimum, Chorus. It's the rules.

Tell it to Milram, Rabobank and Shimano-Skil.

While you are at it, you can track down the managers for Maipei, Team Polti, and Domina Vacanze to tell them the same.

Shimmy paid them to ride it. If you're buying a bike like this, you can afford to do it right.

Most European manufacturers have a much better relationship with Shimano than they do with Campagnolo.

Same with the Pro's who get paid to ride the stuff.

I prefer Campagnolo for the way it works, looks and feels. But I would also prefer the incredible support that Shimano provides for it's riders and teams if I were racing to make a living.

Just sayin'.

Thanks for the suggestions, but neither one of them do much for me.

The canyon on the other hand, it is something to think about.

A lot of people don't dig the wiggly tubes but I kind of do. I'm a big De Rosa fan but for some reason the one posted doesn't do it for me. For me the two hottest looking rides are the Giant and the Prince.

Has anyone else that rode the Giant TCR found it to be kind of twitchy when in sprinting position? Every time I try to shift my weight on it, I couldn't really control it like I could with my other bike..

Just sayin'. Carry on...

I suggest that later this year we combine our 2009 New Racing Bike Schwag and have a Schwagasm. I'm considering a Scott Addict or Cervelo Soloist SL with D.A. 7900.

I might be able to contribute whatever carbon fiber jobber I'll get before the end of the season.

It'll be a Bianchi 928 SL or a Storck Scenario C1.0.

Perhaps. But I just love Boonen's expression in the background.
