cyclist clearly tries to ram cop...

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Should have went to the right behind the officer. Instead he chose to head into the officers path. I would have put my baton in his spokes.

Why?
Weak attempt at humor?
Are you a cop?
If even bike forum members condone to this type of behavior, no wonder cyclists have little chance for fair treatment by drivers in (North) America.

Haha, finally some 'right' coverage. I love how the officer was claiming that the cyclist was heading straight for him. You can see the cyclist starting to turn to move away from the officer who was moving towards him to avoid a collision.

Things like this just lead me to question government and governmental agencies so much as it seems they can get away with claiming something that everyone will believe as absolute without question until someone brings evidence forward. At the very least, they should exercise caution in public since people are going to be watching and recording...

Ugh. I hate critical mass, but I hate this even more.

Of course he should have. Oh wait, then the officer would have just moved to the right to tackle him there.

Give thanks to the amateur video taker.

What's ironic is that there are likely at least several "official" cameras recording events in this busy, (strategic?) Times Square area- all for our protection of course!

If this is the case, ya think an official video would've ever gone public?
