The LBS Breakdown
The Trek thread got me wondering, what do your LBS's carry? How does it breakdown?
I can't remember mountain bike brands, sorry.
LBS #1: Cannondale, Litespeed, Raleigh, Surly, Felt, Bianchi, Look
LBS #2: Specialized, a couple Bianchi's in the back, allegedly Gunnar/Waterford
LBS #3: Trek, Lemond, Orbea, Surly
LBS #4 Giant, Kona
I find it interesting that LBS #1 is the smallest building, operation, but carriess by far the most brands (they have LOTS of mountain bikes and BMX also).

The internet is my LBS...I can't find a good store to cater to retro parts so I deal with mom and pop shops over the internet.
Screw my LBS. They don't know a hub cone from a pine cone.

The LBS - https://www.condorcycles.com/
They mostly stock Condor, Condor and Condor as well as some crappy stuff from people you've never heard of (marin, specialized, brompton, birdy, colnago, litespeed, paris, etc.)

I can't imagine a store that carried Trek and Specialized. Where I live, the stores that carry those brands are driven by those brands, and evrything else is very minor and shived in the background. If one shop tried to carry both, I would imagine things getting ugly quick.
Example: I went to LBS#2, which lists several different brands and (at the time) was the only store to carry Cannondale. I knew that Cannondale and Trek made the two biggest production frames, so I went to test ride a big frame. They told me that they didn't have a Cannondale in my size, and when I asked when they would, they told me that they were phasing out Cannondale because it didn't have as many options for fit as Specialized. I see now that was a load of crap. Anyway, six months later LBS #1 was carrying Cannondale instead, but I already had bought a Trek off the 'bay. Never did get to test ride a Cannondale...
