Saddle questions
 

Hey all. I'm wanting to get a new saddle for my new ride. Had some questions about fit. I have never really been all that uncomfortabe on any saddle. Once in awhile a little tingling, but nothing that 10 seconds standing wouldn't cure.

Anyway, I have narrowed it down to two.

Fizik Arione- Is this saddle big? it looks longer than most saddles and wider at the back, and seems to be built for bigger riders.
( I am 140 lbs and 5'8" ) Would this be uncomfortable for a smaller rider?

Selle Strike SMP Composite- looks funny, very expensive, but all the reviews claim it to be very comfortable.


Any feedback on these two saddles is greatly appreciated.

The Arione isn't any wider than my Selle Italia Flites, but it is a fair bit longer.

Not to uh, burst your bubble, or anything, but the two saddles you've chosen are WAY different. The Strike (if it's the strike pro I've seen) is significantly wider than the arione by about 20mm. The arione is actually pretty narrow around 130, perhaps a touch wider - go to their website for precise measurements. Yes, it's longer than others.

I bought a Strike pro today for kicks to see how it is but forgot to bring it home to mount on a bike so shall have to reserve judgement for tomorrow.

I prefer the Aliante over the Arione, fwiw. both are fi'zik.
