Not sure what to make of it. In some ways, it looks really sharp - the staging is all careful and proper, the setup looks ready for a catalog, and there are some nice, distinct touches here and there, so "A" for effort in that respect. But so much about it is terribly dull, and the fleshy welds do it in. :(

I agree. It’s a nice looking bike; sharp setup, appealing colors, thoughtful presentation, etc. Somehow, the grand total is kind of bland.

Is that white or something close to lavender?

It's a satin, pearl white and it is EXTREMELY hard to clean, sadly. I got one of the last sets of Rails last year, quite happy about it.

My previous bike was Lamborghini blue so this is toned-down quite a bit, but it's not like a basic black bike. It is kind of nice to have a bike that's a little less exciting that the last, not so afraid to tear it up in a crash. I don't know what to say about the welding, it's aluminum so the welds need some mass to them unlike titanium or brazed steel.

robbyville 01-14-18 08:38 PM

Looks great but sorry that it’s hard to clean. My new frame’s scheme is similar in matte so as a result I went with a gloss clear coat. I do intend to put my Rail’s on it for a while. Hot bike

Hey guys, this is a cheap bike here in Brazil, I tried to leave it as hot as possible, I'll still put wheels with 38mm rims and maybe change the cockpit.

What do you think of a fork with another shape?

If you can, give me tips to improve the look, since it is difficult to leave a simple bike looking hot.

This is in Rio de Janeiro.

It's Supacaz tacky, feels like the same material as the hoods, super durable, just right on thickness. I did blue and purple to match team kit, lol.

Man, I want to say HOT so bad! I'll give it a Hot -1 based on the small things that bug me, but are simply personal choice of color combinations.

IF it were my bike there are a couple things I would want to change. Normally I'm a HUGE fan of gumwalls on almost every bike, but because you have colored hubs and have chosen to place the bartape with blue on it, I feel that the colors are conflicting. That being said, I think I would keep this bike really simple (Less is more mentality) and put on all black bar tape and all black tires (Vittoria now makes the corsa in all black). This would leave the bike mainly black and white with a slight touch of color from your hubs. I know saddles are personal choice and all, but I wish this bike had a different saddle as well. the Roman Evo's are so ugly IMO. but if it works, it works.

But I think what bugs me the most is those blue dots on the bike, whether it matches your kit or not.

I think you could do a white saddle and white bar tape, but I know a lot of people are against that.

just my thoughts. Still a great bike and set up nicely! (fitment wise)

I'm still on the fence with the gumwalls on the race wheels but I love them on the training wheels with blue hubs. One side is black with blue, the other is black with purple; our kit has blue on one side, purple on the other. I was on GP4Ks, might consider the all black Vittorias for the next round. I definitely dig this tire though.

I tried two Fizik saddles, but damn pelvis requires this saddle. Ugh I think with more white it begins to look like a ghost-bike and I'm haven't died on it, yet.

just for kicks and giggles

Black vittoria tires with all black bartape and made your seatpost all black
Second pict I left the gummies but made the bartape all black.

Either way I think it looks better without the blue, but that's just me. Its an ALL white bike with black lettering. It isn't gonna pop to be a wild colorway and I have always said that adding color to a boring bike to make it more colorful, makes for an ugly bike Those that want some added color to their bike should not get all white or all white bikes IMO. This is a classic white bike. (just to be clear, Im NOT suggesting that is why you added some blue, I'm just speaking in general).

Looks good and set up nicely. I'd PERSONALLY leave it black and white.

I'm glad your cat likes it. :)
I'm sure it's a nice bike, but the fat, bowing, bulging shapes just make my skin crawl - cold as ice to me.
Color-wise, I like it, though.

Can't believe I missed your post, looks fantastic and hot

Only thing I don't like is the shape of the stem where it connects with the steerer tube, little too bulbous. Lovely overall!

I question the decision to mix the Shimano drivetrain with the Campy wheels. Is this for swapability reasons' since you plan on building another bike with Campy?
