Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The more I look at bikes with slammed stems the more I don't like them.

Not sure what the alternative is in terms of hotness but the 25 cm saddle to bar drop Red Hook Crit look is definitely out for me.

Maybe I'm just getting old.

I like how it says "Super" on the top tube and fork. Looks very workmanlike. What's that chainset?

^ yep, Rotor 3d+
It actually says 'supersix' on the top tube and fork, but you can only see half because the font changes to just an outline, dunno why.

Have at it guys! I was slack and didn't align my valves properly, sorry about that.

Very nice. I would rather see a Selle Italia Flite saddle though.

Fuzzy pic. Don't like the tires. The stem looks odd for being slammed. Giving it a "warm" on the basis I'm a Cannondale guy.

Thanks. I was wondering about ring sizes as much as anything. Looks like a bigger jump than the standard 53 down to 39, but maybe that's just an illusion from the design.

Meanwhile, yeah, I knew there was a 'six' there as well, but I like how it reads simply "Super." Maybe that's why.

They're some 50/34 rings that came off the pretty cheap crankset on my old bike (which was definitely not hot!) seeing as the cranks didn't come with rings. They're surprisingly light as well for rings off a £500 bike, at 150 grams. I like the bold 'super' too, it makes it feel somewhat unique compared to more recent models (this one is from 2008).

Amazing what some color schemes people once thought looked good. The biggest offender was probably Spectrum. Thanks God the two-tone fade has mostly gone the way of the dodo.

*smh* The guy who built my custom ti frame said he would never build a bike for someone who insisted on a two-tone fade. Klein had some unfortunate ones.

This is the Spectrum color scheme that makes my skin crawl.:

I happen to like the Serotta. It is simple, elegant and well balanced.

The red/orange fade - two colors close to each other on the color wheel - works well. Red/blue fade however, never works.

Specialized has an uncanny ability to make absolutely ugly bikes. That S-Works just looks like crap.

Everyone complains about dull black bikes and lack of color and now two tone is back. Well, you got what you asked for.

Ditto for me on the fade schemes. I loved them back in the day and I love them now. I do think that the Stealth look has its place but so does actual color. Of course I own a citron and slate colored bike!

The pink/orange Serotta is hot, ignore the haters.

Terrible photochop is terrible.
