Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

^^^^ Easton recommends <=50mm of spacers. I believe you have a bit more.

https://www.eastoncycling.com/en-us/r...-sl-curved-275

P.S. - there is also supposed to be a 1cm spacer above the stem with ~8mm of steerer.

Since you called me on this, I feel I must repent and reveal the biggest 'sin' of this bike...

It's not smooth but I loved riding this bike so much that had to do it. I then swapped out the derailleur for a 105 (gasp the horror) and its a bit better but if I ever ride again I need to change the configuration back to a flats bike like it was intended.

Absolutely NOT. You should have gotten a larger frame, huge seatpost and a gazillion spacers below the stem. Sorry mate...

Biggest frame they made at the time. I had plans of using it for TTs but never got that far.

Haven't rode it for quite some time as I put on a lot of weight...prolly should part it out and sell it.

that isn't cervelo's prettiest paint job by a mile, but its lack of aesthetic appeal was instantly compounded by infinite degrees by just about everything that went into the setup of that bike. that poor orbea too, it's like someone bought a pair of dobermans and took them on walks with pink sweaters and booties.

that said, i wouldn't dare post my bike in the hot or not thread, so who the heck am i to talk?

lol, no hard feelings? honestly, those two bikes make a pretty sweet stable, they're both modern classics imo. i quibble with your aesthetics, but that's meaningless.

Not the slightest...I've seen a lot of bike porn in this thread...some I wouldn't dare ride and some I would be give my left testicle for. It's all good.
