Thanks! Yeah, still have the Giant. I've made a few changes but for the most part it still looks the same. Did 70 miles on it yesterday.
I also have an S-Works E5 now and go back and forth between the two.

I have no problem with a ss/fg bike in this thread. I user mine for road riding all the time.
Here's my ride. And my old ride that I just gave to my younger brother because he didn't have a bike. He told me he doesn't like it because it's too fast
My new bike (with bell because I was pulled over by the cops and given a warning)

My old bike (that my brother now has)

Hot BMC... I'd consider and SLX for my next road bike. Did you build it up yourself with the Soul's and Rival or buy it complete? They seem affordable which is what I'll be looking for when the time comes later this year. Any idea of the weight with your configuration?

Thanks. I got it complete on sale from competitive cyclist earlier this year. The bike came with Mavic Aksium Race wheels and I changed them to the Soul set afterwards. I'm not sure what the current weight is.

I was actually pulled over for speeding and was given a warning for not having a bell or lights. Now I have a bell and I only put the lights on if I'll be out within half an hour of sunrise or sunset (I checked the law lol).

About a week ago a cop told me "the blinkies!" as i rode by (around 9PM). I had the back blinky on but forgot to put the front one. Stopped, put the front blinky on and carried on. I found the cop's comment cool, caring about the cyclists' safety.

That's pretty cool of them. I think ours are out for some easy ticket money. I just saw on a local site that the Toronto police are doing a zero tolerance bike blitz next week.
This is what it said...
54 and 55 Division will be out full force giving out tickets.
They will most likely be monitoring Bloor/Danforth
- No Bell or horn Offense = $20.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $10.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $35.00 Total Amount Payable
- Improper Bicycle Lighting Offense = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable
- Red Light/Fail to Stop Offense = $150.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $25.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $180.00 (+3 points off Drivers License)
- Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable
- Failure to Wear Proper Helmet = $60.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $85.00 Total Amount Payable
- Bicycle Fail to Turn Out to Right when Overtaken = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable
- Cyclist Riding in or along pedestrian Crosswalk = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable
- Cyclist – Fail to Stop to Identify Self = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable
- Ride two(2) on a Bicycle = $85.00 Fine + $5.00 Court Cost + a $20.00 Victim Fine Surcharge = $110.00 Total Amount Payable

Man, you love callin' people Nazis. These infractions are all similar to what NY state has in place and I'm sure that Ohio has something similar on the books, too (enforcement may be a different matter). It makes sense if you're treating bicycles as vehicles.

I call people what I see is fit. I am fan of freedom. I don't need the government to tell me I need a light on my bike. When it gets dark, I quit riding, or I put lights on. It's common sense. A bell is just stupid. I am on a freaking bike. I can yell, and it's just as effective.

Wow - most would have blown that off with, "eh, hyperbole," but you feel the need to defend your statement. That says a lot. If you think that the regulation of safety measures is, in any way, shape, or form, on par with the Nazi party policies, you're shamefully ignorant.
Many laws cover what a lot of people would assume to be common sense; common sense isn't quite common enough. Oh, and not that I'm a fan of bells (I don't have one), but yelling is NOT as effective.

Many laws could disappear, and I wouldn't mind. Like Ron Paul said at the GOP debate regarding the war on drugs. "I need the government to take care of me, I don't want to use heroin, so I need these laws." It's ridiculous, the government seems to overstep their bounds every chance they get, and I am sick of it. If we keep on writing all these laws, and restrictions we will have no freedom. It just a difference of principals. It's not safety measures, it's just encroachment of the personal freedom of individuals that makes me sick. If I don't want lights on my bikes in the daytime, I shouldn't have to have them. Just think how stupid these bikes would look with lights, and bells on them, not to mention heavy:
