Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

No problem? Not really my cup of tea in the setup either but pretty amazing bike. For clarity it is a Pegoretti Responsorium, Full Record, Shamal Ultra Tubulars. The Shamal Ultras are amazing wheels...but the gold isn't for me. And of course no one on this board likes the stem/bar setup looking like that.

He bought this to tide himself over until his Sachs is built which is supposed to happen some time this year.

Ciamillo brakes
Easton EC90 bar/Stella Azurra Eleganza bartape and EC90 seatpost

I've been a fan of C'dales since I bought a SR800 frameset back in '86. They are WAY over the top when it comes to decaling though. So are lots of other marques as well but C'dale might be the pack leader.

It seems to be part of the whole "in your face" trend in marketing and media storylines prevailing these days. I really dislike it but think it does resonate with our bored, materialistic, and directionless society. Just imagine what the roads would look like if it makes it to cars - holy rolling billboards.

That's one thing I like about my CAAD7 frame. It doesn't have all that excessive type all over it.

Bike is hot, photo is not. Get lower, shoot with a longer focal length from further away, don't frame quite as tight .

Hot.

Specialized Roubaix though, not. Bars are way too high.

Here is my current main bicycle:

Though the saddle has since been replaced with a Selle Italia SLR with carbon rails. Just a hair over 15 lbs at the moment.

Hot: milliron's 10, the Cervelo S2, the CAAD 7, and the Look 595, because I really want one. I recently missed out on a white 595 (in a trade) because it had the seat mast cut too short.

Now that we're being honest, how about some feedback on my current main ride:

I made some significant changes, so I will try to re-post the new setup when I get around to it.

How long is that seat post? I think if my masterpiece were sticking that far out of the frame there would be only a few mm of post in the tube. As for the bike it looks like it's trying too hard to be something it's not Could look really classy with some changes.
