Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Both look pretty good. I would say the Scott is hot, the Specialized, I'm not feeling the white stem, or bottle cages. Other than that well done. The important thing for people to take away from your post, is: If you are going to go with Shimano, at least don't use a horrible squid crankset. For that I give you x2

Your counting skills are truly something to be admired Go back and try again.

Anyway, it's all in jest and everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I thought about the decals and think plain wheels would look funny on the bike since there's so much going on on the frame itself. I prefer subtle graphics but that's not what I have so I'll stick with the rolling billboard

I think its hot. I don't think the Dura Ace crank is fugy, although there are better looking cranks out there for sure. Btw my S-Works has a Campy Record 10 Carbon crank on it, and I think it looks just fine.

I generally don't like the proportions of big bike (I wonder why ) but this one looks right and hot.

I would say hot. Even though I am a big fan of specialized bikes, there is something that looks off. I think it is the black seat post since everything else frame/stem is white. Perhaps a white seat post or a black stem/stack? still hot though.

best thing about that allez is the logos. it only says each thing (specialized, allez, and E5) ONCE (or at least, once on each side). that's how it should be done - nice and simple, not plastered all over the place. wish they'd go back to that, and that other manufacturers would take note.

also, ahson - nice setup.

1940 track Paramount restoration using vintage Campy Record/Nuovo Record components instead of the prohibitively expensive original Schwinn components.

eBay frameset.

After frameset restoration by Waterford and assembly.

Hot.

And I do agree that it could be improved just a bit... maybe its the white stack and stem. Needs a bit more contrast to break up the components a little and give them some edge.
