Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's campy 9/10/11 supposedly as well as shimano 9/10...works great with campy 10. I haven't tried it on 11.

Interesting, to say the least. I was under the impression that 9/10/11 speed was not cross-compatible, especially between Shimano and Campy. Who knew?

How durable are these lightweight components? There has to be some sort of strength and durability sacrifice to the weight benefits right?

I totally agree that it is basically a scam for novelty. However, In every industry there are the few and specific 'artists' that can always demand a premium. Colnago bikes aren't exactly cheap and certainly don't perform 4x better than the bike that it costs more than 4x. But they are BEAUTIFUL and works of art like anything Lightweight makes. In this case it's more than art of visuals but weight loss. Weight loss gets exponentially more expensive the closer to 0 you get. Edit: In bike terms.

Ax certainly has a rider weight limit...most of the stuff on that Scott is 75kg and 2-3 for torque.

So, I am tempted to post my bike, but the only thing is the steerer needs to be cut.

Should I post it?

I have that exact face on when I read that post. I'd still post it anyways. But that is the perfect picture.

What do you mean in regards to torque? I have no problems with weight limits on parts, but I do ride hard. I couldn't imagine changing out 1000 dollar derailleurs and cassettes every time something went wrong. In the end, it's the smile the matters. How many miles have you put on that thing?

Just raise your seat post up 3 inches for the picture to compensate

The saddle to handlebar drop is fine, there is just 3 spacers on top of the handlebars...
