Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like it, but the bars/gel bar tape, and lack of pedals earn it a "not."

I know, if I have to do it again, I will choose something like 3T or Zipp, it's good for now, don't want to spend any more money on it.

Sorry, as much as I like Italian bling, I gotta give that a "Not". I think bike companies need to stop thinking of their customers as dolts, and not put a reminder on every tube of what brand of bike they're riding. Just my 2 cents.

Most of the distinctive looks that existed with steel and aluminum have morphed into generic frame design. I would bet that if you stripped 5 1K carbon bikes of all paint and brand markings, any chance of determining their identity would hard to come by. I'll go one better, a Pinarello and 4 knockoffs would evade all but someone with strong personal knowledge of the name brand frame.

They're called e-bay frames.... Real companies HAVE to brand their bikes otherwise it's not worth their time in development.

It will be hot as soon as the chunky bar tape is replaced with something like Fizik, small cog in the back, crank positioned like in the last photo... oh and you're missing pedals

Agree. My personal tastes however, prefers that the manufacturer name be painted once, or maybe twice on each side of the bike. The overwhelming majority of manufacturers do just that. 4 or 5 logos is overkill IMO.

The Colnago I think is hot. The Specialized not so much for obvious reasons.

Negative saddle to bar drop is tough to pull off in the realm of aesthetics.

This one is fun on so many levels:

1. the property looks like something owned by cousin Eddie.

2. When I started riding, I had to reach down to shift gears. With this bike I would have to reach up.

3. Even the cone is broken.

This puts me in a New Years mood, anyone up for a little "Edward 40 Hands?"

Happy New Year everyone!

Lets review
#1 typical military guy....sorry you don't like the military..your choice
#2 brotruck...front leveling kit doesn't qualify as a brotruck so again your wrong
#3 Rock star wheels...NOT..wrong again!!
#4 mall crawler...wrong yet again...does't qualify...
See the pattern here Esquire? Oh wait, now I see why you look down on the U.S. military. you're some type of english knight??
es·quire (skwr, -skwr)
n.
1. A man or boy who is a member of the gentry in England ranking directly below a knight.
I know your group. I saw you Va Esquires marching around down in Hampton last weekend at your recruiting open house..To each his own, but I vote NOT HOT on the uniforms..
