Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you need to look up a word, you should probably not stop at the first definition. If memory serves, VA_E is in (or is aiming at) law school. Look up 'Esquire' in that context.

Don't you hate it when one of the Three Stooges shows you how silly and ignorant you can be at times?

I give the Colnago a solid 95deg. It could get up into the 120s with some small changes. Saddle, bartape, pedals, 2 bottle cages, remove the spacers, and properly stage the bike.

Other than the bar tape, which looks like the Michelin man / dough boy, and the handlebar angle which looks a bit off, that Colnago is hot, a million logos and all..

The angle of the handlebars is not off. It is an Integrated stem/bar. That is just the design of the bras apparently. I'm not a fan either.

Compact crank on the S5 (SRAM S975 w/no SRM or Quarq too?), and what looks to be a 12-28 in the rear....seems odd...and the wrong frame for the intended purpose, or at least its configuration.

looks like it's set up to do challenge/charity rides...

It's a 52/36 in front, 11-26 back.

No SRM/Quark. Has a Powertap hub.

I'm working on getting the stem shorter as my flexibility increases.

Re - the CLX. I am a big fan of Colnago, but never liked the looks of the CLX - curved top tube, etc. Your's, however, looks the business. Well done. And all reports say they are an excellent ride. Hot.

The bat tape on the CLX actually doesn't look too bad when you are standing next to it, it is Colnago brand cork tape with "Colnago" indented on it. I will change it to Fizik Microtex after it gets dirty in few weeks.

The reason I got the integrated stem/ bar was simple, it looks beautiful. However have I had the chance to choose again, I would pick something else instead. The integrated stem/bar gives no adjustment solutions, not to mention the internal cable routing is very hard to work with and creates frictions for your shifting cables.

Thanks for all the comments on my bike, Happy New Year!

Maybe the black on matte logos pop a little more in person, but in that photo, it's too stealth for even me.
