Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually, the one thing that makes me want to vomit battery acid from that picture is the seat tube and seat alone. I killed the rest of the picture completely!!

You don't know how many times, I think I have it perfect, then I get it on the pc, and a valve stem is a degree or two off. Then I have to go, and retake the pics again. It sucks. However, it does make the pics look that much better.

Lynskey is hot.
Surly is not, but mostly because it looks gigantic. Other staging things apply here too.
I'm pretty sure that Schwinn is a troll. Almost every rule broken, seemingly on purpose.

No. Just plain old, double-butted 4130. It's heavy, but smooth and well-suited to gravel. I'm going to fenderize it soon.

It's a great looking bike and is undoubtedly a ton-o-fun. By the standards of this forum though it would never get a hot. Wrong tool for that job, utilitarian never works here unfortunately.

all... NOT

except for the BMC's

the lynskey is also a NOT, something about the chromed frames doesn't turn me on...now those components DO!, so a better staged photo WILL make the difference here.

Next weekend most likely. I'm changing the bars/stem because I don't like how these are working with the STI shifters.

I got a weakness for Bridgestones. Always wanted an RB, but all I ever had was an MB-3. One of my top two mountain bikes ever...

Chain-L is messy. I do need to clean that crap, but no hurry. I don't need it for two months.
