Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

i really like that blue...but it just doesn't go here IMHO.

i think it goes well with the frame and would perhaps work better with silver wheels and maybe some matching blue tires - and red black shifters, because the bit of red on the tip clashes pretty badly. maybe a white seatpost as well. but with the bike set up as is, i think saddle and bars need to be black (or maybe white).

The wheels look great as they are and red "black" shifters are the exact same as "red" shifters. The red tip is still there either way. Also, blue tires would only make it worse. The bike needs a white seat and white bar tape. Black would work as well, but I think white would look really sharp on that bike.

I put the SRM on my new bike. I happened to find the Quarq on ebay at an insane price and I couldn't pass it up.

Comments on my bike are about what I expected. I like it, but I'm not really sure that I like it. I guess I'm used to 3 years of black tape and saddle

Only problem with this is those are the whitest garage doors on BF int he past 3 years, cranks pointed at (Downtube) also acceptable in this thread, if by stems you mean valve stems, it would be 6:00 not 3.

Wilier Izoard XP
Rival Group
3T Stem+Seatpost+Ergonova Bar
Soul S4.0 Wheels

Kept the Garmin Edge for the pic since it matched the bike

Still adjusting to the upgrades before getting a fit and the steerer cut.

That Wilier is hot. I dig the Red Garmin too. Hopefully I get those guys into putting a red case on mine when I send it back to get the lcd replaced. The e46 on TE37s looks quite nice as well. Not a big Bimmer fan, but TE37s are my favorite wheel of all time. I don't think they are too small either, but I run 15x7s, with 225/45-15s.

Okay enough with the troll face and the fat man. If you two want to keep going at each other, do it somewhere else.

That is beyond ridiculous, even for you UCIMBZ. It is possible that not everyone has a multiple 5k dollar bikes to post here. It is possible that the owner thinks its hot and was hoping to to have the seconded by someone on the internet. That is what this whole thread is about. I call troll on you calling troll, because clearly, there was nothing to do with the thread at all in your post. Just start a thread called UCIMBZ's bikes because anybody who posts in here other than you is obviously a troll. Or should we go back to your first 50 posts where you OFFER NO input on the topic at hand and simply call out others on the forums for (not having as much loot as you)?

Why? Particularly if it's not a hard-core LBS, it's not unusual for an entry-level bike to be built up with the full stack of spacers and the stem up. It's also not unusual for someone to have platforms on their first roadie, for a little while. Other than those two issues and the reflectors (mandated, and the bike is obviously still in the shop), what else is so egregious as to call "troll"?
