Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Of course, I like the bike as is too. If it were mine, I'd add those touches to balance things out.
If I see an obvious patch of one color on a multi-colored bike, I like to see something in that patch
that exists elsewhere on the same bike. Again, a personal preference. It's not wrong to have big
patches of uncoordinated color on a bike.
It's kind of like with clothing. A pocket square the compliments the tie, but not match it. Same as sneakers should compliment a t-shirt, not match it. Nothing looks sillier than someone wearing a pair of sneakers that matches perfectly with his shirt and his hat. Anyone can buy matching parts, but it takes a real eye to buy parts that compliment. Also the worst part about trying to match the green on that bike is that most parts might be CLOSE but probably not the exact green, which looks even worse. Going back to clothing, it's like wearing the wrong pants with your suit.

Vanno.Velo's crankset/pedals/saddle/seat post clamp would be perfect here.
I'm not one for colored tires, but this bike is nice.
Some will say that those parts would be "too much".
Some will hate it, some will like it.
Again, taste is subjective.

Not, black tires and white bar tape. Then it's hot. Colored tires are always a NOT.

In keeping with the liquigas theme of the last couple pages here's my hi-mod. Since the last time I posted put my black hoods back on and lizard skins 2.5 tape. Sitting at just over 6.2kg as pictured.

Very nice! I'll admit... I've always wanted one of the SS HM Team frames ever since Liquigas' grand tour domination of 2010. But it was too hard to find a frameset in the right size, and the complete bike was wayyy over my budget. I've ridden both the SS HM and the Evo, and I feel like the HM has a better "feel," despite the Evo's superior weight and (supposedly) aerodynamics. It's one of the greatest race bikes out there for sure!

I've been enjoying the crap out of it for the last two seasons, upgrading and shedding weight along the way. The original plan was for a CAAD9 with a similar build, but a deal came along on the SS that was far too good to pass up. You've got a really impressive and well thought out build there that I'm certainly jealous of as a race bike. I have yet to get any significant amount of time on an EVO, but would love to for comparison's sake.

I was just checking out CDale's site.
No Himods for 2012?
Or does the Evo replace it?
Or are all SuSi's HM's now?

Not everybody can run a 140mm stem like Ivan Basso either.
