I don't see how the fit can be fine. if you ran a plumb line from your knee when your pedals are at 3 and 9 you'll see there's a problem when you seat is slammed like that. Handlebar position seems fine, but the hoods look odd pushed so far back, I assume that's because the bike doesn't fit you. How do you access them from the drops? Nothing personal, this thread is 100% about aesthetics and in it's current setup, it's just not doing it for me.

I assume you're grouping me in here... I have a 2012 Argon 18 Gallium, 2010 Argon 18 Gallium Pro (frame out for repair), 2008 Colnago CLX and a 2010 Felt AR4. None of which are very common frames on the road or here on BF. This thread is hot or not, not hot or keep your opinion to yourself. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Lets see a pic of his wife... maybe that's something I'll be jealous about. :)

Not allowed to post pics but can tell you she looks like Halle Berry...

You got called out...just put up some new pics and get this over with.

Haha and we're from the same city as you :) - though we aren't there anymore.

This thread is like a car wreck, I can't look away

mazdaspeed 03-02-12 03:07 PM

^ Wow, thanks man you're really helping make this thread better! Fact is you posted a bike that isn't yours, YOUR BAD, of course someone will call you out on it. No need to act like a 13 year old.

So the choice was to buy a medium frame and have six inches of head spacers (and how dorky would that look?) or buy a large frame a move the seat forward. The fit is fine. I did a 100km ride on Sunday with no complaints. I may not look as cool as you, but at my age, my only goal is to avoid being dropped when we are doing 300km at 30kph.

Don't listen to the freds in this thread, if you can hang at your age you have nothing to prove to a bunch of hypercritical poseurs on the internet.

Posting a picture of the same bike I bought (I would have posted the finished Bike) is a lot different than posting bikes and choppers that are obviously not yours............................

Great post.

Its your money, do as you wish with it.

People criticize my setup and riding style but can guarantee you that few here (or elsewhere) can sit on my wheel.

JSS I have learned over time that you are fighting an argument you are never going to win, you have some nice bikes and I respect you for that alone :)

Kingfishr welcome to the forum and please stay you seem like a pretty positive guy and have a true love for the sport.

They're probably too busy covering up 2ndgen's idiocy among other things, I'm sure they'll get to this and tell all the children to simmer down

I <3 Robots 03-02-12 03:23 PM

This forum is about as loosely moderated as can be...look how long it took to shut down 2ndgen's last debacle. I'm sure its why people behave the way they do in this forum, but at the same time...its why this forum is so entertaining. :)

Not trying to be argumentative but I have to say I STRONGLY disagree with this

its actually not. next time just wait till your bike is actually finished. then post actual pictures of said bike. if the bike is hot then great.

hell even unfinished bike builds of frames with wheels and no components can be looked at as "hot"... at least its the actual bike.

but if the bike is voted not, and isn't your bike to begin with... then arguing about it makes it convoluted and pointless... the cover up becomes worse than the crime...

being passive-aggressive about the whole process only exacerbates everything.

Agree. Slow to react, sometimes, but when they get around to it...

Look another post of someone else's bike, shut me up, all you have to do is post a picture of that bike with your name on it like I did and I will go away

I dunno what these pictures with names proves either way. I'm pretty sure I could get the monkey's at my LBS to let me take a picture of any bike in the shop with a post-it note on it.

(that was my Captain Kirk-like effort to end the stalemate by breaking a death box)

WhyFi 03-02-12 03:41 PM

I don't mark my territory with initials on a post-it, I pee on it - the good ol' fashioned way.

More hot bikes, please, including the NDS of that bike, UCI - that's that half-an-half jobber, right?

No this is the Brigante. The half and half is the Team issue.
Here it is sitting on my kitchen floor. Just finished riding it today. Excuse the ph pic.

The chair and wainscoting height give that pic an odd proportion. It almost looks like that has 24" wheels.
